Thank you for using VPN Client. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled and your privacy protected when you use our app. VPN Client is designed to operate in a decentralized manner—connecting users to their own VPN servers—and does not collect or process any personal or sensitive data.

1.1 VPN Data

VPN Client is simply a tool to help users connect to their own privately hosted servers. You are fully responsible for the data processed on your server.
1.2 Sensitive Information
We do NOT collect or have access to:
Full names, usernames, or screen names
Residential or business addresses
Telephone numbers
Payment details (credit card numbers, billing info, bank account data)
Personally identifiable data
Device IDs or contact lists
1.3 Crash Logs & Diagnostics
We may collect non-sensitive crash logs and analytics to improve app stability and performance. These include:
Crash occurrences and stack traces
General usage statistics (e.g., time spent on screens)
App version, OS version
These are sent anonymously via services like Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics, with no personally identifiable information.
1.4 App Permissions
VPN Client only requests permissions necessary for basic functionality:
Camera access may be requested solely for QR code scanning when adding VPN servers.
We do not access your location, microphone, storage, or contacts.
2. Data Usage
As we do not collect personal data, we do not use it for marketing, profiling, or other purposes. Crash and diagnostic data is used strictly to identify bugs and enhance performance.
3. Data Sharing and Transfer
We do not sell, share, or transfer user data to any third parties. Crash data sent via Sentry/Firebase is anonymized and used internally.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security practices to safeguard all diagnostic data. Access is limited to authorized personnel only and data is not stored long-term.
5. Data Retention
As we do not collect personal data, no user data is retained. Crash logs are held only as long as necessary for debugging.
6. Right to Be Forgotten
There’s nothing to delete 😊 – we don’t collect or store your personal data.
7. Third-Party Services
While VPN Client relies solely on your own server, be mindful if you connect to a third-party VPN provider. Always review their privacy policies independently.
8. Advertising
There are no ads in our app. We do not monetize any part of the service and have no plans to introduce advertising.
9. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or any users, for that matter). Parents should guide minors about safe internet practices.
10. Links to External Sites
VPN Client may contain optional links. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites or services.

We may update this policy occasionally. All changes will be posted here, and the updated version becomes effective immediately. Please check this page periodically.
